Book review: Rumo and his Miraculous Adventures

My favorite book of all time with the greatest varieties of adventures all mixed into one book. Lets say, Lord of The Rings, The Odyssey, the Tin Can and mostly all the great fantasies.

It starts with the Main Character, young puppy Wolperting( a half deer, half wolf, resembles a dog) who wakes up in the farm one day but finds his Hackonian family missing and as he walks about he gets captured by the Demonocles and is brought upon the Roaming Rock where he meets the character that follows him through the story, Smyke, a shark grub who possess many important tips on fighting and in life since he once caused a horrible slaughter in the greatest 'authors home' which is the Lindworm Castle filled with magnificent and intelligent Lindworm(sort of dinosaur) writers.

Soon, with the help of Smyke, Rumo, who was full grown by then, came up with a plan and executed it perfectly to escape the clutches of the Demonocles and came shore to the homeland of Hackonia once again. But with a more developed sense of smell now, he notices the silver thread fully hanging in the air and knows that whatever he meets in that area will bring him eternal joy and goes through many perilous journeys to go there but sadly Smyke leaves mid-way.

When he reaches the place he wants to go(Wolperting), he finally realises the silver thread leads to a beautiful Wolperting girl,Rala, and will soon try to get to know her better but he had to go through many more adventures then he could finally have the happy ending in the story.

I hope this keeps anybody in suspense and wishes to read more on this marvellous story,
Thank you for your kind attention.

  1. Wow this is recent...

This was an excellent book. Read it a few months ago, still have parts of the story running through my head. Reading another of Moers' books atm, "The City of Dreaming Books"... another good one.
